I thought this was a sequel to Tamsoft's cool Oneichanbara (see entry 678), but it's actually just a re-release of that game with a few extras. A very few; namely, a few more playable samurai girls. And they might have improved the framerate a tad, not sure. Oh, and the Survival mode arena is different. Other than that, it's the exact same game, with all the same Story mode levels and everything--at least as far as anyone I know knows. I'm hardly going to be playing back through those levels.

If you have a Oneichanbara save on your memory card, Oneichanpuru will give you an unlocked character, and will unlock some costumes from the first game for you.

The title means something about "older sister" and "special compilation."

"The new girl, in the new arena. Same old zombies, same old blood."

The full title is actually something more like "Simple 2000 Series Vol.80: The Oneichanpuru ~ The Neechan Tokubetsu Hen ~," but I couldn't fit that in my title field. :P

Each girl has a slightly different ability balance (some are faster, some have better range on their sword-swings, etc), and a slightly different balance of effects when they go insane from blood-lust. But really they essentially have all the same moves, with very minor variations.
