I wonder if there's any chance it would work via a USB-Parallel adapter. I think when I searched for an NGPC ROM dumper years ago I didn't know what terms to use and all I came up with was a breadboard kit thing, maybe like the one in the video inside. Also I think I got a video of Flavor talking about his stuff.

from Paleface.

I'd say that anyone who messes with stuff like this probably ought to just get an old computer to do it with instead of trying to make it work with a modern computer. I keep an old X series Thinkpad that I rescued from an e-waste bin to use in these cases. It's got all the old ports on a docking station and I have MS-DOS, Win98Se, XP, a few versions of Linux, and some other OSes all on a GRUB menu. Actually, it's a pretty nice little computer and I often end up using it as my main computer.
