Hell yes - I didn't like sports games and I loved Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Super Bowl. It's really accessible, and Tecmo boiled down the essence of the game into Tecmo Bowl. Much more straightforward than any other football game, and even better because they kept a lot of the plays simple and very few. The original TB had only four offensive and four defensive plays per team, and it still was loads of fun. I think I was spoiled by the minimalism of TB; my buddies ate up Madden '92 and '93 on the Genesis in college, but man, I hated those games. I was always so confused by them and wished for a simpler time. A time of Tecmo Bowl.
