The Mother series is probably my favorite RPG series of all time. I used to like Final Fantasy and Y's so much, but at this point fully half of the releases don't hold a candle to the games that made me fall in love with them in the first place. There are only three mother games though so it never got watered down. I really hope people don't get all revisionist on this game now and shit all over it like so many game magazines do. I can already see it on 1Up's next "most overrated and overpriced SNES games" feature.
