Come on guys, clean up those villages and start working for those bells! Or just run around and enjoy all the random shit happening in your place. Either way, GO! (n/t) from Mental.
I never found it very fun - somewhat compelling, but fun wouldn't be the word I'd used. It appealed to some of my collecting nature, but ultimately it had no lasting appeal for me. I don't like a game that gets mad at me for not playing.

Haha, the one thing I miss is a counter that tracks how many hours you've logged into it. For some reason I love seeing such counters in games. Also, I put the game on sleep mode in the evening, to open it up in the morning and find out it was frozen. Had to shut down my DS, and of course had an angry Resetti lecture me. Kind of a mood killer right there. (n/t) (Mental) (16:01:23 05/11/08 EST)
i actually kind of enjoy when a game doesn't have a timer. that way i can't see that i've played something for 50 hours and get all "damn that is over two whole days of my life". not that i mind spending time on a game i really enjoy, but it's always a bit of a shock when i see it that way. as a side note, i dumped a ton of time into AC on the gamecube. my roomate, two friends, and i all had our own house and we kept that town up and running for nearly two months. i loooooved that game. i'm interested in what the next one will have, but i think animal crossing may have been a "right time, right place" sort of thing for me. Yeah. It was fun, but something I never have to do ever again. (n/t) (substance J) (18:44:59 05/11/08 EST)
I played AC GC for about a month or so. Loved it, but I had to move on to other things. When ACWW came out, holy shit, that stole part of my life. The town gates also didn't help things; we here at SNGP would often come home from work and leave our gates open in the evenings. It was just a fantastic blast. Unfortunately, my DS game case got stolen from me, and about 6 months of so much work and care. I eventually bought another copy, but man, I only stuck through it for another couple of months. My heart was with my original copy... :( That being said, if/when AC comes out for the Wii, I'm so there, man. (n/t) (NeoGutsman) (23:51:29 05/11/08 EST)
