A game that just goes on for as long as you want and you judge whether you feel like you're winning or losing based on how well you're meeting your own self-imposed standards? Would that be a game or non-game? (n/t) from Sweater Fish Deluxe.

Total non-game, unless of course you're comparing your score against others. I usually classify score based games as Challenge games, where the idea is to achieve a goal then to try and beat it. For instance playing golf vs someone is a game but playing golf on your own is just practice. I'm sticking by the win-lose situation.
