kinda does, yeah. I've looked around and most folks are just saying co-op got added, but one gamespot forumite says there are branching paths. Nobody else has said this though...

Well, the changes between MS2 and MSX don't sound terribly big, and I remember people saying a lot "what's the difference", in so meaning, there's little. So, SNK-style?

Its really really hard for a casual fan to tell the difference between 2 and X. I owned 2 on Neo CD and beat it dozens of times. When X came out I played it on PS1 and could hardly tell the difference. I remember a new weapon, but never figured out the branching paths that were supposedly there. My assumption was that X was, primarily, a reprint of the MVS cart that has a few extremely minor tweaks in it.

BTW, Metal Slug 2 (and X, since its the same thing) are my favorite MS games and probably always will be.

Yeah, I enjoyed MSX on PS more than MS on Saturn and MS3 on XBox and XBLA.

I also liked Metal Slug X on the PS. I thought the load times were excellent, and I did not once feel like it was missing anything in the fun department. It also plays wonderfully on a PSOne unit with LCD screen, which is what my cousin and I beat it on.

It was a great screen, wasn't it? I was hoping Sony would make a PSTwo and LCD combo, but I guess the PSP takes care of that (lulz).
