I think I'm pretty close to the end, but I've been grinding (willingly, horrifingly) and doing tons of alchemy. The game is basically an MMO design in a handheld title, it's a pitch-perfect (and, I think, quite evil) design that wraps you entirely up into the treadmill it puts you on so you just want to keep running. When I beat it I'm going to put it down full stop I think because I've tried some of the treasure map dungeons and they're really badly designed/seem to lead to bosses that are really fucking difficult. BTW fifty hours is probably the most time I've spent on a game since Final Fantasy VII.
