Posted by aerisdead on August 02, 2010 at 19:49:32 EST in reply to I've nearly played fifty hours because it's really easy to play while the TV's on and stuff. I think I'm pretty close to the end, but I've been grinding (willingly, horrifingly) and doing tons of alchemy. The game is basically an MMO design in a handheld title, it's a pitch-perfect (and, I think, quite evil) design that wraps you entirely up into the treadmill it puts you on so you just want to keep running. When I beat it I'm going to put it down full stop I think because I've tried some of the treasure map dungeons and they're really badly designed/seem to lead to bosses that are really fucking difficult. So what is everyone's party make-up? My main is a minstrel turned martial artist at the first opportunity, joined by a warrior/gladiator, backed up by a thief turned ranger at first opportunity and a straight mage (who I expect to turn into a sage, actually.) I really miss the multi-heal ability of a priest but I've tried to concentrate on keeping everyone's damage-dealing ability high. I know I should really try to specialize though (the warrior gladiator really should be playing the part of a tank, for example.) I think the different possible builds are really interesting; I wonder if you can make teams with impossibly high evasion so they never get hit or even stranger ideas.
