It's really like a Castlevania-themed take on PSO, in a lot of ways. You keep going through the same areas with friends, picking up money and looking for cool new weapons, having to revive one another against the massive bosses, etc. It's really an amazing game. There will no doubt be plenty of DLC for this game, but that's kind of all Konami needs to do. Just keep adding interesting new stages, tons of new items, and some cool new characters and it's all good. The formula is almost perfect. (n/t) from Jeurja.
It's like a cross between SOTN, Dracula X, Guardian Heroes and PSO. Best game of the year.

Pretty apt description. And yeah, it might be GOTY. (n/t) (Jeurja) (22:43:10 08/06/10 EST)
hmm, that's kind of too bad. I was interested in it, but I'm not a PSO or Monster Hunter fan, nor a guardian heroes fan. a lot of people are asking me to buy/play it, but that sort of makes me not want to. I've got a month or so to decide though, I'll only be home a week in august. (n/t) (exodus) (13:17:17 08/07/10 EST)
So I bought this game, played it single player, played it with other people (5 other dudes, all had mics, all USA USA). You're wrong, this is not game of the year or anything. It's fun enough. More enjoyable than Portrait of Ruin and some other DS/GBA games I've played. I guess if you're thinking $15 is a fair price for a CV that needs friends, that's just better than other games in the series that cost more, then knock yourself out.
