That happened a lot with me in the late 90's I think because I was old enough to have some financial means but not enough to get everything I wanted. And I was particularly hyped considering there were probably 100+ games coming out each year that were good enough to own. The only thing I actually regret though is selling my Coleco, 2600, and NES w/ 18 games in preparation for getting a SNES just prior to release. I was so excited about 16 bit it never really occurred to me that I might want to replay Smurf or Megaman 2 someday. The 2600 has not been missed though. (n/t) from substance J.

Hm, I DO regret giving away my Coleco. Not my Atari 2600, though. I loved my 5200 but couldn't rationalize keeping it. I miss a game of Centipede on there once in a while, though. One of the few things that damn joystick was good for.
