Posted by SignOfZeta on May 27, 2016 at 20:54:22 EST in reply to Ahh, I've seen the image-ghosting people were complaining about on NeoGAF: the game seems to render two frames at once, or one frame while the previous frame is still showing at 50% transparency, or something; you can even see it with the blinking selection box on the character select screen. Or go into practice mode as Kaede and swipe your sword into, say, Moriya: for a split-second as they connect, you see four sword blades at once. AND I just realized that the Last Blade NeoGeo Online Collection PS2 port did NOT come out on the Japanese PSN. Oh well humbug. (n/t) from Paleface.

While I do understand many of the technical reasons, it still amazes me how hard it seems to be to just run a Neo game. It's always that way too. It's a system from 1990 that can't be properly recreated on things 25 years newer because no matter what year it is the person doing the port doesn't care. This issue you're explaining...it's just some half assed BS that never should have passed QC. Get just one random dick from the Neo boards to look at it for 2-3 minutes and they would have spotted it instantly. Another bad fake low res release.
