Posted by SignOfZeta on May 08, 2016 at 14:07:15 EST in reply to KoF 2000 came out on PS4 this week; I was stupidly excited, but it turns out (this is conveniently not mentioned in the PSN store description) that it's just a port of the PS2 version--which would be fine (as long as your controller has a touchpad, since they for some reason mapped PS2 Start and Select to that : P) except that while the backgrounds look nice and sharp, the character sprites have this weird blur or antialiasing or something on them that actually started making my eyes hurt after a while. Oh well, back to the Dreamcast! (n/t) from Paleface.

It's nice that you keep buying this these things but there's nobody left at SNK doing anything that deserves your money so I think you can call it a day, so to speak. And yeah, I can only imagine that it's weird since the PS2 era, as flush with software as it was, made almost anything 2D look weird. That's why have so few of those ports. Then you port it to PS3 and...well, I have a Neo Geo MVS and everything looks perfect on. Is see there is a copy of 2000 on eBay for $25 right now. If the "experimentation" side of things isn't too important to you (Let's see how bad THIS port is!) then I highly recommend that route. My MVS cost a lot less than a PS4.
