Since it was Halloween I played a lot of Drac X but I’m so out of practice and short on time I couldn’t beat Shaft. I used to beat this game without even trying but that was a long time ago. I did at least beat Death, who I’ve always felt is the hardest boss in this game. I can’t remember how to get down to 3’ and 4’ and this is a problem for me every time I play even though I’ve %100-ed it at least a dozen times.
It used to think that the ongoing pace of technology would make old games like this impossible for children to enjoy but that’s definitely not the case. He loves Bonk 1&2 and even JJ and Jeff. He likes JJ and Jeff a hell of a lot more than I do, I’ll say that…
The PCE Mini is great and I’m glad I got it. It’s truly stacked with games. People complain about Gateball and games it doesn’t have which seems silly to me. It has Ys I&II and Dracula X. Those two alone will entertain you for hours…no really decades. Dracula X was 32 years old this Halloween.
My only regret is only buying one extra turbo pad. They are now extremely hard to find. I have the tap but only three pads with one of them being the 8 Bit Do wireless one. (n/t) from SignOfZeta.
I've found I'm definitely not as good at games as I used to be. I could beat Ninja Spirit with my eye closed, and when I was playing it recently I was getting hit by some enemies I never even knew existed because I'd eliminate them without thinking back in the day. But I'm glad I still love games!
